Early life and family
Mahesh Babu, born on 9 August 1975, is an actor, producer, media personality, and Indian social activist known for his work in Telugu cinema. He is a member of the production house G. Mahesh Babu also owns Entertainment. His father was Krishna Ghattamaneni and his mother was Indira Devi. Mahesh was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is the fourth of five children of actors Telugu Krishna and Indira, Ghattamaneni before Ramesh Babu, Padmavati and Manjula Swarup, and Priyadarshini. Mahesh spent most of his childhood in Chennai caring for his grandmother Durgama and the rest of his family.
He was educated at St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School, Chennai where actor Karti was his classmate. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Loyola College, Chennai. After graduation, he spent three to four months in Visakhapatnam to improve his acting skills. Met Satyananda. Unable to read and write in Telugu, he memorized dialogues given by his directors during the dubbing of his films.
Mahesh Babu was married to Namrata Shirodkar on February 10, 2005, at the Marriott Hotel in Mumbai during the shooting of Arthur. At present Maheshbabu gives birth to a daughter and a son.
Acting career
Mahesh has been mentioned in the media as one of the most attractive male celebrities in India. His achievements have established him as a leading actor in Telugu cinema. Considered the prince of Tollywood in the media, he is one of the most popular and influential actors in Telugu cinema.
At the age of 4, Mahesh babu made his debut as a child artiste in the film Nida (1979) and acted in eight more films as a child artiste. He made his acting debut in the 1999 film Rajakumarudu which won him the Nandi Award for Best Male Debut. Later he acted in films like Arjun, Murali, Nizam.
His picture Pokiri was a super blockbuster picture at the box office which the audience liked very much. Then in 2012, the Businessman movie gained a lot of praise from the audience, in 2013 Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu starred in the action film. She starred in the comedy film Dookudu (2011). This movie is very hit and he got a lot of praise. He also starred in some of the popular films Srimanthudu (2015), 1: Nenokkadine (2014), spyder, Brahmotsavam, Bharat Ane Nenu. His 2020 film Sarileru Neekevvaru collected ₹ 260 crores worldwide at the box office, making it one of the highest-grossing Telugu films. Everyone’s mind is won in this film.
